Amazing comeback from a huge setback!!! What an inspiration.


It’s been awhile since I have posted any race reports. Why? I spent all winter mending a fractured second metatarsal in my right foot. But here I am, 6 months later and I think it’s safe to say that I have healed and recovered. Being sidelined with an injury is always a trying time, especially for an athlete. I spent two months in the boot hobbling around. I was depressed. I went from working out for an hour or more daily to doing absolutely NOTHING. I couldn’t swim because I couldn’t kick, push off the wall or stand on the bottom of the pool. I obviously couldn’t bike and I definitely couldn’t run. It became a very dark time.

However, there came a point where I decided to leave my pity party and get back on the horse. Sure, I couldn’t do the three sports that I live for everyday…
